Another Maerz kiln is alive!
On Sunday, June 20, 2021, Lhoist together with the Maerz crew started up the kiln in Montevallo, Alabama, USA. The R4S kiln has a nominal production of 600 metric tons of soft-burned lime per day and is currently gas fired.
