Both burnt dolomite and lime were needed for the new steel plant. Therefore, it was decided to build two kilns: a 300 t/d kiln for the dolomite and a 600 t/d kiln for the lime.
The general contractor was the Chinese company Sinosteel Equipment and Engineering Co., which built the entire steel plant on behalf of Tosyali.
The kilns are both fired with natural gas and have been operating successfully since summer 2018.

But that was not enough for Tosyali: in spring 2022 - again via Sinosteel - the order for two 600 t/d kilns, again one for lime and one for dolomite, was placed with Maerz. This makes the lime plant at Tosyali one of the largest in Algeria.
